APPRAISAL MARINE SURVEY

Purpose:  To establish a vessel's fair market value. An accurate appraisal is arrived at after a detailed inspection of the vessel's general overall condition.  An appraisal is often sought in establishing the value of older boats, motors, and other marine property.  This is normally needed for financing, estate settlements, donations and legal cases.

Client Owner, executor, beneficiary, recipient, litigant, etc.

User(s): Lending institutions, taxing authorities (i.e. IRS)," courts, etc.

Survey Report Format: Includes: General Information; Scope of Survey; Standards; Valuation; General Description; Findings by major functional system and element (see SIP above); Pictures. This report is usually, less than ten (10) pages.
