OIL ANALYSIS

To provide information about the condition of an engine and/or transmission well before any other observations indicate problems.  The quality of the oil and its contaminants provide information about engine/transmission wear and alert the operator to a possible impending failure.  This is especially useful when purchasing used engine-driven equipment when little is known about the propulsion machinery.  As part of a regular maintenance program, oil analysis allows you to identify potential problems before the components actually fail.
